Getting started
Atladeus runs entirely in your browser — there is nothing to install (though you can install it as an app if you like). The fastest way to see what it does:
- Open the Examples overlay and load a finished home.
- Press 5 (or the WALK tab) to step inside and look around.
- Switch to 3D or CONTROL to see the whole home and operate it.
- When you’re ready, start your own in PLAN — pick the Room tool and drag.
Everything you make is saved automatically on your device. Press ? anywhere in the studio to open the in-app help & shortcut card.
The four modes
- Plan — the 2D floor plan. Draw rooms, walls, doors and windows; place furniture and devices; lay out stairs and multiple floors. Drag with a tool to create; select to move, resize (in 0.1 m steps) or rotate.
- 3D — a premium “dollhouse” render of the home. Orbit, zoom and frame rooms; toggle floors with the floor switcher; read it as a living portrait.
- Control — the always-on wall display. It shows the home as a portrait with live time, weather and status, and lets you operate scenes, rooms and devices by tapping. When idle it drifts into a calm standby.
- Walk — first-person walk-through. Move with WASD, look by dragging, and interact with anything you aim at. Toggle free-fly (T) to fly anywhere while building.
Designing & materials
In Walk, aim at a surface or object and press F to open the Finish Studio — one place for materials, colours and finishes, with curated “Looks” and a live preview. Aim at a floor, wall, ceiling, a piece of furniture or a door and the studio leads with what you’re looking at. Press B for the build menu to add furniture, lighting and décor; the catalog has search, favourites and a Recent group, and you can drag-and-drop your own .glb / .gltf models in.
Devices & automation
Place lights, sensors, locks, cameras, climate, blinds, speakers and more from the Devices palette. The Control page operates them; the rule editor and the natural-language command bar (⌘K / Ctrl K) let you automate them — “when motion in the hallway after sunset, set the lights to 30%”. Scenes capture a whole-home state you can recall with one tap.
Automations read as a sentence: When a trigger fires — Only if an optional condition holds — Then run one or more actions. Open the rule editor from the Control sidebar (or describe it in the command bar) and each row is a dropdown, so you never write code.
Real-home control
Atladeus connects to supported real homes from the Connections panel. Eva / Onics is the supported path for non-local access. Philips Hue, xComfort Bridge and Tapo cameras work only while the browser and device are on the same local network. Atladeus does not require or provide a separate home gateway. Until you connect a provider, everything remains a simulation.

Saving & privacy
Your homes are saved automatically in your browser on your device — there is no account required and nothing is uploaded by default. An optional account adds passkeys, cloud sync, share links, co-design and marketplace publishing. You can always export a home as a file to keep an independent backup. Atladeus uses no third-party tracking or analytics; optional anonymous diagnostics are off by default and can be reviewed and toggled in Settings → Diagnostics. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
FAQ
Can I install it like an app? Yes — in a supported browser, use the install icon in the address bar (or “Add to Home Screen” on mobile). It then opens in its own window and works offline.
Do I need an account? No. Core planning works locally without signing in. An account is needed only for cloud-backed features such as sync, sharing and publishing.
Why does the time look “live”? The Control display tracks your real local time and date by default (no network needed). You can switch the Live clock off in the view settings to use a simulated clock with manual time-of-day controls. Live weather is a separate opt-in — turn it on (with the live clock) to fetch your local forecast from open-meteo; left off, no weather is shown and no weather request is made.
It looks simplified / a view is blank. Atladeus needs a modern browser with WebGL2; on older devices it falls back to a simpler renderer automatically. Updating your browser usually resolves it.
My work disappeared. Homes live in this browser’s local storage on this device — a different browser, profile or private window won’t see them, and clearing site data removes them. Export important homes to a file as a backup.
